As May comes to a close, it feels like the month just began. With Memorial Day approaching, it's a time for us to pause and reflect. As a veteran of the 101st Airborne Division, I feel a deep responsibility to honor all veterans who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving and protecting our country.

Memorial Day is more than just a day off from work or an opportunity for a cookout. It is a solemn reminder of the bravery and dedication of our military heroes. It’s a time to remember those who have fallen and to honor the prisoners of war (POWs) who endured unimaginable hardships.

Let us take this time to reflect on the sacrifices made for our freedom. As we enjoy our activities on Memorial Day, let's also remember and never forget the true meaning of this day. Honor their legacy, recognize their service, and keep their memory alive.
